Simple strength survey embankment of reservoirs


There are about 170,000 reservoirs in Japan . Since many reservoirs were built before the Taisho era , there are many cases where embankment soil of reservoirs is unknown , and there is a high possibility that the soil is unsuitable for embankment soil . Furthermore , it has been pointed out that degree of compaction of the old reservoirs is low and soil of reservoirs is heterogeneity . Recentlya lot of reservoirs damaged due to an earthquake and heavy rain. They kill and injure people due to collapse. Therefore , quick survey of embankment of reservoirs is needed. In this study , we aim at simple survey of embankment of reservoirs from strength estimation.


Study on simple survey of reservoirs

In the current survey of reservoirs , we need undisturbed sample for survey of strength of embankment. In this study,undrained triaxial test were conducted to estimate the soil strength parameters of undisturbed samples from reconstituted samples strength. In this study , we aim at to omit undisturbed sample. This enable shortening of survey of reservoirs.


Renewal technology of the deteriorated bridge using polyurethane lightweight embankment method


Maintenance of deteriorated bridges is an issue due to shortage of technicians and expensive maintenance cost in recent years. This study aims to establish the renewal method of deteriorated bridge that applies light weight embankment method using polyurethane.

Study on applicability of renewal technology of the deteriorated bridge using polyurethane lightweight embankment method

In this study,3FEM analysis is conducted to examine the internal stress condition of updated light weight embankment containing a bridge pier.
